Safety and Usage Guidelines

Before leaving with a vehicle, ensure it is in top condition:

• Check tire pressure and fuel gauge regularly.
• Use only model-specific fluids according to the vehicle manual.
• If you notice any issues (e.g., a new scratch or dent), email us with photos as documentation.

Failure to report issues or return a clean vehicle may result in additional charges.

Swiss authorities require that certain safety items be present in vehicles at all times. Removing these items or failing to store them correctly may result in fines.

Where to find important items:

• Key Chain: Car key, TCS-BP-Routex fuel card.
• Plastic Folder: Journey log book, registration certificate, UZH parking card, TCS road assistance card.
• Glove Compartment: Vehicle manual, blue zone parking card, windshield scraper, plastic folder.
• Driver's Seat (Back Pocket): Emergency road triangle.
• Large Grey Box: First aid kit, reflective safety vest (one per person).

The "Autobahn-Vignette" and the "CH sticker" are already affixed to the vehicle. Please ensure these items are present when you drive.

Each vehicle is equipped with a TCS-BP-Routex fuel card, which allows you to purchase fuel and other essentials at reduced prices at BP-Routex gas stations across Switzerland. Please remember to refill the tank if the fuel gauge shows less than ⅔ of a tank.
This card is valid across Europe and requires a password and PIN code, so make sure you have the details before leaving.

Fuel Card Guidelines:

• Fuel, windshield fluids, and other car essentials can be purchased using the card.
• Always refill the vehicle before returning it, particularly if the tank is below two-thirds.

You are responsible for cleaning the vehicle after use. If the vehicle is not cleaned before return, we will outsource the cleaning and charge you for the full cost. For your convenience, there are car wash stations near Bahnhof Oerlikon and the Letzigrund stadium.
