Summer 2011

The SGS 2011 (17th - 31st July 2011) was held at the Alpine Biology Center Piora (2000 m a.s.l.) in the canton Ticino and in Zurich (Switzerland). It was the second of two field courses on alpine grasslands. The first course was held in July 2010 at Haibei Field Station (3200 m a.s.l.) at Qinghai province (China). The course was funded by the Sino Swiss Science and Technology Coorporation Program. Its objective was to strenghten the collaboration in teaching and research between the Institute of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies and the Department of Ecology of Peking University.
