The cost for using a department vehicle, regardless of the vehicle type or make, are calculated per km driven.
The flat-rate cost is compiled as follows:
- Insurance premium
- Department of Motor Vehicles tax (Abgabe Strassenverkehrsamt Kt. Zürich)
- MFK (Motor Vehicle Control Office - MotorFahrzeugKontrolle)
- TCS membership
- Vehicle maintenance:
- standard service
- change or replace tyres
- replace windshield wipers
- replace missing required equipment
- Fuel
